# Changelog

### v4.0.0

* Projects. Models, published ontologies and schemas, files, database connections, prefixes, and design history belong to a project. Transformers and plugins stay shared across the installation. See [Projects](/EGeX4aTAJLlpg9Hh8kfl/graph.build-studio/projects.md).
* Project access. A project is Private, Public, or shared with named people. Models and published files keep their own permissions. Modular ontologies can be shared on their own.
* AI Assistant. Chat answers questions, including `/docs` questions against this documentation. Generate builds or edits the open design, including property graph schemas and mappings. See [AI Assistant](/EGeX4aTAJLlpg9Hh8kfl/graph.build-studio/ai-assistant.md).
* Studio Settings for the assistant: provider, daily token limit, guardrails, how much source data is sent, and optional personal API keys.
* Backup and export. A Super Admin can export every project as a `.gbs` file, or download a backup that can restore the deployment. See [Backup and export](/EGeX4aTAJLlpg9Hh8kfl/graph.build-studio/backup-and-export.md).
* MCP server. An AI client can explore ontologies, read the projects you can open, and edit or create ontology designs. See [MCP Server](/EGeX4aTAJLlpg9Hh8kfl/graph.build-studio/mcp-server.md).
* Imports land in the project you have open. A model name that is already used in that project is rejected.
* Home lists use table and card view. Git history for a model or published ontology opens from the project page.

### v3.4.3 - 01/09/2026

* Nodes and Edges can now be deleted by delete key press
* The current model is now selected by default when executing the transformer (if it has been previously published)
* Added additional layout options to the model auto layout
* Git history of mapping files can now be viewed as well as the files deleted
* Fixed inheritance across different ontologies when multiple are used in the same model
* Fixed generated ontology formatting where the last class becomes an object property
* Added a health check for the RDF4J triplestore
* Bug fixes and quality of life improvements

### v3.4.2 - 05/08/2026

* Bug fixes and stability improvements

### v3.4.1 - 03/08/2026

* Improvements to SQL Query Iteration workflow
* Prevent long running Transformer executions from timing out after 5 minutes

### v3.4.0 - 20/07/2026

* Edges in ETL and ontology diagrams now connect at any point on a node and no longer the fixed handles
* Auto layout arranges your models for you, including imported ontologies and any other model
* Improvements to the ETL workflow from Studio: upload, download, and view input and output directly, using the Transformers and Writer without leaving the Studio
* Undo and redo buttons added to the model designer
* Select an ontology class in the hierarchy tab to highlight it in the diagram
* Wide range of stability, performance, and bug fixes

### v3.3.2 - 09/07/2026

* Bug fixes and stability improvements

* DuckDB support — Added DuckDB as a supported data source.
* Graph Writer integration — Studio now integrates directly with the Graph Writer for streamlined data loading.
* SQL templating — Queries and database credentials now support SQL templating for greater flexibility.
* Reusable SQL credentials — SQL database credentials can be saved and reused when creating SQL Models.
* OWL restrictions — Ontology classes now support OWL restrictions.
